Job Summary
Conduct daily pre-shift inspections, meetings, and safety talks to enforce plant policies, OSHA standards, and 5S housekeeping protocols. Coordinate team assignments, fill in for absent members, and operate production equipment to facilitate start-ups while maintaining accurate documentation and performance reporting. Lead corrective actions for quality and safety issues, coach team members on training needs, and support engineering changes to achieve first-time quality and efficiency. Monitor evacuation routes and immediately address accidents or injuries. Work extended or flexible hours to meet production demands, lifting 50 pounds and standing for long periods. Assist leadership in communicating the Magna/Kamtek vision and fostering continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to work extended or flexible hours as required to meet production demands
- Must possess interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Must have good working knowledge and understanding of the assembly process
- Must have strong team-focused and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- Must be willing to work in various locations within and outside the facility
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Occasional bending or stooping
