Team Leader, Accounts Payable

Job Summary
Team Leader Accounts Payable oversees a small team to support the accounts payable process, partners with external and internal business partners (vendors, warehouses, distribution centers, product management, accounting, rebate teams, compliance & audit), and focuses on driving Days Payable for vendors. Responsibilities include reporting and analytics on AP topics, invoice matching and verification with PO/GR/IR, ensuring invoices are accurately coded and approved, communicating with vendors, performing supplier statement reconciliation, ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations, researching/disputing invoice/GRIR discrepancies, collaborating with auditors to prepare audit schedules and ensure SOX/compliance, and performing other related duties for team management.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role
- Ability to quickly learn organization specific computer applications and accounting principles
- Good spoken and written communication skills for collaboration with various partners
- Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
