Job Summary
Team Leader responsible for supervising store personnel during assigned shift, opening/closing as key holder, developing and coaching team members, ensuring customer service standards, adhering to SOPs and safety policies, and transferring between Goodwill of North Georgia stores as needed. Requires high school diploma or GED, 2-3 years retail experience, preferred associate degree or related coursework, English communication skills (bilingual a plus), forklift certification, proficiency in Microsoft Office, reliable transportation, physical ability to perform duties, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends. The role emphasizes leadership, training, team development, operations oversight, customer service, and adherence to agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in retail
- Associates Degree or completion of related retail management course work preferred
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills; Bilingual a plus
- Must be certified and licensed to operate a forklift
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must start employment in acceptable safety work shoes
- Must be able to adapt to growth and a changing environment within the Agency
- Must be able to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed for business operations
- Maintain dependable transportation and electronic communication device
- Must be able to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold and dust
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs with or without accommodation
