Job Summary
Oversee daily custodial operations and personnel, coordinate staff and contracted workers, conduct facility walks and safety audits, ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, manage scheduling and timecards, supervise performance and training, and maintain strong customer relations while supporting 2nd shift and occasional overtime; role requires leadership in facilities management, knowledge of custodial practices, safety and sanitization standards, and eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related field and 2 years of relevant facilities experience; in lieu of a degree, combination of relevant experience, education, training or certifications may be considered
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of custodial best practices, safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Strong knowledge of sanitation and safety measures for cleaning offices and buildings, including chemicals and equipment
- Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team; strong communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance
- Experience supervising custodial staff and contracted personnel; scheduling and performance management
- Experience with timecard verification, payroll procedures, PTO processing
- Experience with quality control inspections and safety audits
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Experience with purchase orders and procurement processes
- Ability to coordinate with clients, suppliers and internal teams
- Flexibility to support 2nd shift and overtime as needed
- Knowledge of DoD/ government security clearance requirements
- US government security clearance (DoD Secret) status as applicable
