Job Summary
Create, maintain, and optimize work schedules, manufacturing documents, and production processes while planning, preparing, and controlling production orders. Conduct feasibility checks, calculations, and evaluations of production times and manufacturing costs. Coordinate production planning with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality assurance teams. Review customer orders and technical documents, then monitor manufacturing progress to identify and resolve deadline or capacity bottlenecks. Analyze and optimize existing processes to reduce lead times and increase productivity. Lead the team technically and organizationally within a dynamic production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Completed technical education (HTL, master craftsman/Meister, vocational technical school/Fachschule, or degree)
- Several years of professional experience in work preparation, production planning, or manufacturing control in a metal-processing company
- Sound knowledge of machining technology and materials science
- Experience in functional leadership or willingness to take responsibility for a team
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and confident handling of MS Office
- Strong technical understanding combined with a solution-oriented and cost-conscious mindset
- High level of commitment and flexibility in a dynamic production environment
- Team player skills and strong communication abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally in machining or mechanical engineering
