Job Summary

Oversee backflow and FOG programs by issuing compliance schedules, enforcing regulations, and leading inspections of facilities while maintaining required databases. Manage program goals, policies, and the annual budget process, then review plans for backflow prevention and grease collection systems before presenting them to leadership. Deliver monthly reports to the Environmental Services Manager, serve as the field liaison to other city divisions and outside agencies, and represent the City at staff functions. Lead the development of educational materials for utility customers and initiate correspondence with regulatory agencies regarding new trends or changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in environmental science or related field
  • TCEQ issued Customer Service Inspection (CSI) license
  • Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing (BPAT) license or ability to obtain within two (2) years of employment
  • Complete Grease Trap and Interceptor Training
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Training

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with computers and location devices
  • Experience in reading maps, blueprints and engineering plans
