Job Summary
Manage a team of Legal Assistants supporting U.S. patent prosecution by performing substantive duties including docket clearing, reporting correspondence, preparing and filing USPTO documents, and carrying a caseload. Provide direct supervision, conduct quality control reviews, and evaluate performance through regular assessments of work product and productivity metrics. Lead team members in delivering timely client service while monitoring workload distribution and designing peer reviewers to ensure compliance with firm procedures. Collaborate with the Senior IP Manager, timekeepers, and administrative departments to resolve escalated concerns and develop departmental policies and training programs. Assess staffing needs and actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding efforts for department personnel.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of patent prosecution experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience

- Proficient in the use of computer equipment including the firm's software and database systems (e.g., Microsoft Office and the firm's document management, docketing, and workflow management software systems), the USPTO's software and other law resources and databases used in IP prosecution
