Job Summary
Team Lead for Renewable Structural projects overseeing a nationwide utility-scale solar program. Manages a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and technicians to deliver complete Solar Photovoltaic design packages including general arrangement, site, grading, drainage, pile and foundation designs, and related calculations. Develops and enforces Standard Best Practices, mentors staff, and contributes to business development, proposals, and client communications. Responsibilities span technical design (ASCE 7, IBC, ACI, NESC, CAB systems), calculations and models, design reviews, submittals, field inspections, project planning and scheduling, cost estimates, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams. Requires Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5+ years of experience, FE required (PE preferred), proficiency with AutoCAD, SAP2000, L-pile, Mathcad, Civil 3D, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards. Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time. The role supports both in-office (Lakewood, CO) and remote work arrangements, with hybrid options for Lakewood and remote eligibility for nationwide projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
- FE licensure is required; PE preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, modeling, and design software such as SAP2000, L-pile, Mathcad, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project
- Strong understanding of ASCE 7, ASCE 113, ACI 318, IBC, NESC, RUS Substation Design Guide, and related standards
- Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- US work authorization on a full-time basis
