Team Lead, Staff C# Engineer - Platform Enablement

Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day work of the platform enablement engineering team, balancing feature delivery, technical debt, and platform reliability. Own delivery of the team's roadmap for multiple platform services, including the App Registration service, while conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning. Oversee code and design reviews to maintain high standards for performance and scalability, and collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to define priorities. Use AI-assisted tooling and LLM-based automation to enhance engineering workflows. Report to the director of engineering, Platform Intelligence, and partner with peer managers to align on staffing and resourcing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures
- Experience leading a team of engineers
- Hands-on background with Azure and/or AWS — Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals
- Able to understand and diagnose complex cross service issues using telemetry tooling such as Datadog RUM and other internally developed services
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML systems using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and privileged access control
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor within a collaborative team environment
- Proven success in Agile software development and continuous delivery environments

- Experience with SaaS products running in a cloud environment such as Azure
- Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog RUM, Grafana) for monitoring and diagnostics
- Prior experience in AI-enhanced security, automated policy enforcement, or data compliance management
