Job Summary
Seasoned Team Lead for a hands-on full-stack engineering squad (6–10 engineers) within TechOps. Lead architectural decisions, own production code, perform code reviews, improve CI/CD pipelines, and guide the team’s technical direction and growth. Manage sprint planning, backlogs, and delivery commitments in collaboration with Product Managers; act as primary liaison between engineering, QA, Product, and stakeholders. Role emphasizes leadership while maintaining individual contributor responsibilities across a full-stack surface spanning the GlobalLink platform and internal tooling. Requires deep expertise in .NET Core/C#, SQL Server, microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern JS/TS front-end frameworks; strong mentoring and people-management skills; Agile/Scrum mindset; and the ability to drive modernization initiatives and ensure release quality.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional software development experience
- at least 4–5 years in a formal Team Lead or Senior Technical Leadership role managing 5+ engineers
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field; MCA/BCA also considered
- Deep, production-level expertise in .NET Core, C#, Web API; able to write, review, and own backend code
- Strong SQL Server skills: query optimisation, schema design, indexing, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design principles, and event-driven patterns (e.g., RabbitMQ or similar)
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework: Vue.js, Angular, or React
- TypeScript fluency and experience building maintainable, component-based SPA
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
- Deep knowledge of SDLC, Agile and SCRUM methodologies
- Experience using agile tools (Jira, TFS, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Trello)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms - Azure or AWS
- Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving performance reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset and effective stakeholder communication
