Job Summary
Manage store operations by processing donated goods, ringing sales, and maintaining sales floor displays. Assist the Store Manager with revenue goal tracking, budgeted expenses, and staff training on safety protocols and customer service standards. Handle customer transactions, greet donors, and resolve complaints independently when management is unavailable. Ensure compliance with all store policies, report security or theft issues, and maintain accurate accounting records. This role requires proficiency with POS systems, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Goodwill Industries of North Florida is seeking a Team Lead to support our mission of providing training and employment services for people with disabilities and special needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years prior retail experience preferred
- High School or Equivalent
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have by able to promote and ultimately be responsible for workplace safety
- Proficiency with POS reporting procedures
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Energy and enthusiasm to help others
- An openness to learn and be a team player
- An excitement for a career in retail
- Be able to perform basic skills on a computer
- Must be able to read and comprehend
- Must be able to do basic math calculations using a calculator
- Able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
