Job Summary
Lead and direct all technicians in the rental and tuneshop, managing operations, training staff to expert levels, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Confidently handle tune shop, rental, or repair inquiries while resolving customer complaints with win-win solutions. Operate all tune shop equipment to perform quick and full tunes, ceramic edges, phantom waxes, advanced repairs, and binding mounts to high standards. Manage rental fleet inventory schedules, perform advanced IT rental functions including inventory management and reporting, and execute moderate Shopify duties such as register adjustments and manual transfers. Assess equipment damage, provide repair recommendations, and facilitate warranty claims by identifying unique solutions outside manufacturer limits.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Next Adventure Senior Technician or have experience working in a leadership role in a rental and/or tuneshop
- Have up to date binding certification from all manufacturers: Marker, Tyrolia/Head, Atomic/Salmon/Armada, and Rossi/Dynastar/Look
- Able to perform any type of ski binding mount
- Able to operate tuneshop machinery: base grinder, stone grinder, edging machines/tools, base/edge repair tools, waxing tools and robot tuning machines
- Moderate boot fitting knowledge
- Able to do base welds, ptex work, and epoxy repair
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong leadership skills

- Ability to talk in depth about skis, snowboards, snowshoes, and mountaineering gear
- Ability to assess equipment damage and provide recommendations to repair

- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
