Job Summary
Team Lead GL Accounting based in Prague overseeing a team responsible for US GAAP accounting within the Record-to-Report processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records in line with internal controls and corporate policies; responsibilities include month-end close & reporting, maintaining internal controls including SOX compliance, supporting audits, maintaining accounting documentation, and mentoring/developing team members while driving continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with multinational corporation or global accounting firm
- strong supervisory experience of at least 3 years
- excellent technical financial skills and knowledge of finance principles and processes
- ability to understand balance sheet and income statement impacts and to challenge or propose material accounting entries
- Record to Report knowledge and experience
- SAP R3, Oracle, or HFM knowledge is a plus
- higher degree in business administration or equivalent finance-specific degree
- excellent oral and written communication skills in English
