Job Summary
Lead detailed design of protection and control packages, including one-line diagrams, relay coordination studies, and equipment specifications for utility substations. Assign work to engineers and technicians, verify design quality and accuracy, and manage project budgets and change orders. Coordinate power system analyses, review submittals against client specifications, and provide field troubleshooting and observation reports. Mentor team members through individualized development plans while maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to applicable codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred
- 8+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
- FE is required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- A strong command of the English language
- Good interpersonal and people skills
- Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
Desired Qualifications
- electric power option preferred
- Ideally, experience with HB Substations for datacenters
- High proficiency with power system software such as DIgSILENT/PowerFactory, EasyPower, ETAP or SKM, CDEGS, and CYMCAP preferred
- PE is preferred
