Team Lead Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Lead donor collection team, redirect issues from Donor Specialists, and provide feedback to team members and supervisors. Treat donors with customer service excellence, build relationships with donors and sponsors, and resolve customer issues with potential negative impact. Perform phlebotomy, including automation (Alyx and/or Trima), donor screening, and mini-physicals. Prepare collection sites, troubleshoot technology systems, and pack units for transport. Operate mobile drive buses with a valid CLD, following DOT guidelines. Train and mentor team members, perform root cause analysis, and maintain product integrity. Achieve team automation goals by recruiting and converting donors. Full-time regular employee. Salary based on internal averages and local market. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- GED
- a combination of a health care degree, certification
- 1-3 years 3 or more years relevant experience
- 4-6 years Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience
- Demonstration of effective problems solving and good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals
- Must have basic mathematical aptitude
- Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions
- Ability to organize work to provide productive work flow
- Flexibility to work independently and with a team
- Has strong attention to detail
- Must have good communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive criticism to peers
- Possesses legible hand writing
- Ability to learn/utilize computer applications such as Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, and HemaTerra
- Personal Computer (desk top, lap top, tablet)
- General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine)
- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Screening equipment including: • Lancet • Sphygmomanometer (BP cuff) • Temperature probe • Hemoglobin analyzer
- Phlebotomy collection equipment including: • Blood mixer • Trima • Alyx
- valid CLD
