Job Summary
Oversee daily Just-In-Sequence warehouse operations to ensure materials are received, sequenced, staged, and delivered accurately for uninterrupted customer production. Lead and supervise hourly associates, coordinating task assignments, break coverage, and shift handovers while enforcing safety, quality, and OSHA standards. Serve as the primary operational liaison to customer representatives, addressing daily issues, priorities, and escalations. Monitor inbound, sequencing, and outbound processes to maintain compliance and report operational metrics including productivity and service levels. Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 principles and maintain accurate shift documentation. Work 12-hour shifts, including occasional Saturdays, in a fast-paced, customer-embedded logistics environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing support operations
- Prior lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work extended 12-hour+ shifts and occasional Saturdays
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, WMS systems)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift to 25-30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in a warehouse or production-adjacent environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Prior lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred
- Experience in automotive supply chain or customer-embedded logistics operations
- Experience supporting Just-In-Time (JIT) or Just-In-Sequence (JIS) operations
- Forklift or material handling equipment certification (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience working in a 24/7 or multi-shift operation
