Job Summary
Lead and train shift team to achieve safety, quality, and production goals on the manufacturing floor. Provide directions to production employees in production, training, and related areas, drive lean improvements (e.g., 5S), monitor shift performance, coordinate with the Production Supervisor to cover vacancies, manage production paperwork, and address mechanical issues and tooling/inventory needs. Responsibilities include overseeing supervision and leadership of team members, assigning tasks, ensuring efficient completion, conducting safety meetings, tracking output, downtime, and inventory, and promoting shop floor organization and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably a packaging environment
- Embraces continuous improvement
- Self-directed team player
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
