Job Summary
The Service Center Warehouse Team Leader assists the supervisor in maintaining efficient workflow within assigned work group. Participates in the receiving, storage, preparation and distribution of materials, equipment and products within the Virtua Service Center. Verifies quantity and quality of incoming product using applicable equipment and computer system. Fills, transports and delivers orders to Service Center designated areas using material handling equipment. Maintains and optimizes inventories with FIFO practiced. Operates Warehouse Management systems and equipment (carousel, conveyor, forklifts, pallet jacks) safely. Ensures safety, cleanliness, and security of receiving and distribution operations. Communicates with supervisor, customers and co-workers to meet needs and relay critical information. Addresses concerns to avoid crisis, covers shift shortages as required. Participates in annual physical inventories and helps orient/train new employees as requested.
Required Qualifications
- HS degree or equivalent
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- 2 years prior materials management experience
- Passing Virtua Supply Chain certification is a required term of employment
