Job Summary
Provide daily direction and leadership to the product line's team members while adhering to company handbook, section policies, and documented manufacturing procedures. Interpret approved drawings and utilize ERP/MRP systems to plan raw materials safely and timely, ensuring all personnel and equipment in the assigned area operate correctly. Monitor quality, quantity, and efficiency of production, examine finished items for specifications, and coordinate schedules to meet delivery demands. Promote continuous improvement through lean concepts, 5S, and workplace safety initiatives, while cross-training staff and implementing processes for overall effectiveness. Maintain collaborative relationships to produce excellent products safely and on time within the factory shop floor environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Understanding of ERP/MRP systems
- Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work/processes
- Strong leadership skills
- Learns quickly when facing new problems; open to change; strives for continuous improvement of self and processes
- Excellent communication (oral and written)
- Ability to perform basic math including use of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to read a tape measure and read simple blueprints
- Knowledge of production
- Experience with lean concepts and tools
- Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to perform activities utilizing all machinery and equipment in the assigned section
- Must be able to examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications
- Must be able to read a tape measure and read simple blueprints
- Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to a 10-12-hour shift
- Ascend, squat, push and pull up to 75 lbs
- Bend, twist and reach with hands and arms to feel objects, tools or controls, check and inspect product
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
