Job Summary
Lead the MagStop Value Stream production cell by operating within a team-based manufacturing environment while providing daily guidance to associates. Maintain 5S standards, update Daily Management boards, and coordinate with Supervisors to ensure a safe working environment and immediate resolution of quality defects. Champion standard work methodology, conduct training on machine operations and safety procedures, and coach associates on time management and adherence to plant rules. Act as a primary coordinator with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to solve issues and communicate concerns regarding personnel, safety, or productivity to supervision. Subject to standard overtime scheduling and rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be considered current 'expert' in the area
- considered a 'Champion of Lean'
- Previous experience
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, safety rules, quality instruction and process documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, clients and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
