Job Summary
Lead facility utility and complex process equipment operation, repair, and troubleshooting while mentoring less experienced technicians. Coordinate work across materials loading, production functions, and maintenance tasks, supervising outside contractors when necessary. Provide leadership support across organizational levels and apply intermediate shop floor competencies to resolve problems under general supervision. Work day or night shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM Thursday–Saturday) with rotating on-call hours and moderate physical demands in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related experience
- completion of PBS requirements and passing assessment at the appropriate level
- Ability to work a non-standard schedule as needed
- On-call hours as required
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance
- Intermediate working knowledge of technical field or area of specialization
- Demonstrates intermediate shop floor competencies
- Exercises limited judgment in resolving problems
- Works under general supervision
- Ability to assist in orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing the work of peers
- Ability to interact primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers
- Ability to exert up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 20 lbs frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs continuously
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and reach
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders occasionally
- Ability to push/pull, reach, stoop/squat, and walk frequently
- Ability to sit constantly
- Ability to stoop/squat constantly
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment frequently
- Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment constantly
