Job Summary
Oversee daily department objectives and work volumes while leading associates in accomplishing new requests and exploring value-add opportunities. Organize production by reviewing, planning, and allocating orders, then schedule transportation appointments with carriers for pickups, deliveries, and inbound freight receipt. Maintain quality by enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting production through end-of-day reports and inventory updates. Monitor work execution to ensure only authorized processes and equipment are used, training others in department policies and procedures. Operate forklifts and power equipment to assist with loading and unloading materials. Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to implement new strategies that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Required Qualifications
- General warehouse experience
- Knowledge of WMS
- Good computer skills
- Forklift Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence
- Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to define problems establishes facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to lead and direct associates daily
- Must be flexible to work additional time as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Some college
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Past Customer Services experience
