Job Summary
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities across LaCan entities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with IFRS and local requirements. Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations while delivering accurate financial reporting packages and variance analyses. Support audits, NFCM compliance activities, and financial control reviews to maintain a strong control environment. Lead talent development, succession planning, and resource allocation across the team. This highly visible leadership role combines accounting expertise, people leadership, and stakeholder management to ensure operational excellence across Latin America and Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Statutory reporting knowledge
- Internal controls knowledge
- 7+ years of experience in accounting
- 7+ years of experience in reporting
- 7+ years of experience in audit
- 7+ years of experience in finance operations
- Experience leading accounting teams
- Experience leading reporting teams
- Strong leadership skills
- Communication skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Advanced English
- SAP/ERP experience
