Team Lead-Food and Nutrition - Evening Shift

Job Summary
Coordinate daily task assignments, coverage plans, and shift briefings to ensure consistent service delivery for the Food and Nutrition team. Provide non-supervisory leadership through peer coaching, quality checks, and real-time performance audits while supporting new team member onboarding. Manage inventory, supply readiness, and equipment organization, acting as a role model for safety, accountability, and departmental policies. Lead team huddles and communicate across the department to maintain operational standards. This full-time evening shift role at IU Health Methodist Hospital runs from 12:00pm to 8:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, eligible for shift pay differentials.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- ServSafe Manager Certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
- Adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption
- Ability to climb ladders
- Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time
- Must be available for rotating weekends and holidays
- Must be available for evening shift (12:00pm until 8:30pm)
