Job Summary
Lead firmware development and team organization by developing reusable C/C++ platform components, driving architectural decisions, and managing the product backlog in an agile Scrum environment. Mentor the team while translating requirements into technical specifications and realistic development plans to ensure timely delivery. This role involves hands-on firmware engineering for Anton Paar's instrument teams, focusing on embedded systems, RTOS concepts, and clean software architectures. You will work in a long-term, international high-tech environment with opportunities for individual training and onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or University)
- Several years of experience developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers, with a strong focus on abstraction, clean interfaces, and testable software architectures
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, RTOS concepts, and Python
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and drive them through to successful completion
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, a supportive mindset, and a strong sense of responsibility for achieving shared goals
