Job Summary
Lead facility utility and complex process equipment operations, including repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Coordinate materials loading, production functions, and maintenance tasks while mentoring less experienced technicians and supervising outside contractors when needed. Provide leadership support across organizational levels and assist in orienting, training, and reviewing peer work under general supervision. Requires intermediate shop floor competencies, problem-solving judgment, and ability to work non-standard shifts (Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday, 6pm-6am) with on-call hours. Based in a production/manufacturing environment with moderate physical demands involving lifting and exposure to moving parts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related experience
- completion of PBS requirements and passing assessment at the appropriate level
- Ability to work a non-standard schedule as needed
- On-call hours as required
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance
- Intermediate working knowledge of technical field or area of specialization
- Demonstrates intermediate shop floor competencies
- Exercises limited judgment in resolving problems
- Works under general supervision
- Ability to assist in orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing the work of peers
- Ability to interact primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers
- Ability to exert up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 20 lbs frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs continuously
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and reach
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders occasionally
- Ability to push/pull, reach, stoop/squat, and walk frequently
- Ability to sit constantly
