Job Summary
Review daily service requests with Planner and Scheduler to prioritize work and assign orders to Instrument, Electrical, and DCS Technicians. Break-in work for Instrument and Electrical Technicians, supporting planning of priority 7 & 6 break-in tasks and acting as a technical resource for corrective and preventive maintenance planning. Perform routine job site visits to evaluate completed work against safety, quality, and standard requirements, while facilitating stakeholders in instrument, electrical, and DCS disciplines. Support engineering on project work including Hazops, design, and model reviews, and contribute to the annual budgeting process. Lead technicians to ensure they are trained, competent, and actively engaged in their development.
Required Qualifications
- Instrumentation/Electrical Journeyman or Red Seal Certification
- Minimum 7 years' as a Journeyman with hands-on experience in oil and gas industry
- Previous experience in a live plant supporting Industrial Maintenance and/or Turnarounds
- Ability to read engineering drawings (Loop drawings, Data sheets, Elementary, Panel Schedules)
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
- Self-starter who is able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Strong team player with proven communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail
- Physically able to perform all components of the position (lifting, working at heights, etc.)
- A valid driver's license
- Ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver's abstract)
