Job Summary
Coordinate daily schedules, staff assignments, and workflows for the Diagnostic Imaging team while assessing patient volumes to allocate resources effectively. Prepare patients and perform diagnostic imaging examinations within your professional scope, ensuring accurate documentation and collaboration with radiologists and physicians. Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality-control activities, while managing departmental supplies and vendor relationships. Serve as a key point of contact for patient concerns, lead team meetings, and provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback to support staff development and performance reviews. Assist with recruitment activities, including resume reviews and interviews, and help assess staffing requirements. This full-time role involves Monday to Saturday shifts from 6:30am to 6pm for an 8.5-hour duration at the Oakville clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Medical Imaging Technologist in function such as sonography, X-Ray, Mammography or other relevant modalities
- Previous leadership, team-lead or operational coordination experience
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to quality and patient safety
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal, coaching and client-service abilities
- Experience troubleshooting imaging equipment and managing departmental inventory
- Demonstrated ability to build a positive team culture and support staff development
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Monday to Saturday during regular clinic hours (6:30am – 6pm) for an 8.5 hour shift
