Job Summary
Lead and develop a high-performing team while integrating network and treatment planning practice. Drive the development and continuous improvement of the Asset Management System, Strategic Asset Management Plan, and associated planning frameworks. Oversee strategic condition assessment programmes to translate asset condition, risk, and performance information into practical planning and investment recommendations. Integrate growth forecasts, levels of service, and future demand considerations into infrastructure planning and long-term investment strategies. Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide trusted advice to executives, ensuring Tiaki Wai has the insights needed to make confident investment decisions for resilient water services. This pivotal leadership role requires a strategic thinker with significant experience in asset management, preferably in a regulated environment, to support evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in asset management leadership, preferably in an asset-intensive or regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of contemporary asset management principles and frameworks, including ISO55000 and strategic asset management planning
- The ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively across an organisation
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and developing team capability
- Applicants for safety sensitive roles will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment with Tiaki Wai
- You must also be legally entitled to work long-term in New Zealand or eligible to obtain a working visa
