Job Summary
Oversee safe and successful operation of assigned packaging lines, ensuring correct line set-up per SOPs and customer specifications. Monitor batch codes, product components, and package quality while assisting the Packaging Supervisor in line audits. Lead Line Workers and Material Handlers to maintain efficient, safe work practices and keep waste within acceptable limits. Operate and adjust machinery as necessary, complete finished goods tickets, and interface with customers during line tests. Support GMP compliance and suggest process improvements to enhance production efficiency. Requires high school diploma, fluent English, and ability to lift 40 lbs; shift differential applies for 3rd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Fluent in English
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to read production specifications
- Ability to complete documentation
- Basic math skills
- Familiarity with measurement tools (balances, torque meters, vacuum/seal strength testers)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to maintain focus under pressure
- Knowledge of machine operations
- Good working knowledge of office equipment
- Ability to train team members
- Ability to motivate team members
- Ability to lead team members
- Visual acuity for reading codes and detecting small product defects
- Dexterity to keep pace with high-speed production lines
