Job Summary
Train and mentor operators on assigned shift operations while maintaining equipment and ensuring production quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, implement Out of Control Action Plans, and manage non-conforming materials through the MRB process. Operate multiple tools, conduct initial investigations on process deviations, and perform web path checks, audits, and 5S,3R implementation to drive continuous improvement in safety, output, and tool uptime. Complete accurate documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards. Work alternative, compressed 12-hour schedules (day and night) with ability to travel overseas as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education of High School diploma or GED
- At least 3 years' experience in a production role in a manufacturing facility, operating automated or semi-automated equipment
- Availability to work alternative, compressed 12 hour work schedules (day & night)
- Knowledge and experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and 6-Sigma
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot production equipment or process issues and implement short- to mid-term solutions to maintain production
- Experience with quality control charts and data interpretation
- Proven ability to work independently and be a self-driven contributor with minimal supervision
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
- Ability to work overtime, as required
- Ability to travel, including overseas, as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and teach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Sound judgment on when to escalate issues to management or engineering for support
- Comfortable working in dynamic environment, with ability to perform time-sensitive analysis and problem-solving
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll-winding and material conveyance, a plus
