Job Summary
Relieve bottlenecks on the manufacturing product line to ensure continuous production flow and address workflow issues. Learn all positions within the area to fill in as needed and identify part or resource shortages, providing solutions or notifying supervisors when assistance is required. Facilitate Lean Manufacturing processes and complete work orders to request engineering and SFA support from other departments. Communicate critical situations to supervisors, engineers, and managers as appropriate. This role supports the supervisor in increasing focus on team people rather than daily specific workflow issues. 10% time travel may be required depending on product line needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Minimal WorkKeys scores
- 4+ Years Experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted
- Ability to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc.
- Able to effectively direct the flow of others
- Able to foster teamwork and resolve conflict
- Able to work long hours and a variety of shifts as needed
- Able to learn and utilize materials tracking system
- Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees
- 10% May need to travel when appropriate depending on product line needs
