Team Captain Footwear

Lead the Footwear department by delivering expert product knowledge, coaching teammates, and driving sales while ensuring the department meets athlete needs. Anticipate athlete needs, provide accurate product information, and uphold merchandising standards including floor sets, signage, and inventory replenishment. Promote company programs and collaborate with store management to develop 30-60-90 day plans aligned with business priorities and financial goals. When acting as sole leader, oversee opening/closing procedures, front-end functions, and direct reports, while communicating departmental goals and assigning workload based on skill levels. Monitor progress against plans, adjust schedules for traffic demands, and build a strong team through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and retaining staff. Ensure all teammates are properly trained, receive coaching and feedback, and hold them accountable for compliance with safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
