Job Summary
Lead the Apparel department by delivering an engaging shopping experience rooted in product knowledge and athlete connection. Coach teammates, drive sales, and ensure athletes feel confident in their selections. Anticipate athlete needs by providing clear, accurate information on products and assortment while upholding merchandising standards, signage requirements, and inventory presentation. Promote company programs including loyalty enrollment and warranty sales. Collaborate with store and assistant managers to develop 30-60-90 day plans, establish staffing and operational initiatives, and execute budgets. Act as Head Coach during solo leadership by overseeing opening/closing procedures, front-end functions, and teammate supervision. Communicate departmental goals, assign workload based on skill levels, and monitor progress to meet payroll and financial targets. Build a strong team by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and retaining direct reports. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management, including annual reviews and termination recommendations. Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while holding teammates accountable for compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience
- Previous retail/customer-facing experience required

- Previous people leadership experience preferred
