Job Summary
Lead the Apparel department at DICK'S Sporting Goods in Store1348 Sarasota, FL as Team Captain Apparel, coaching teammates, driving sales, and delivering an engaging shopping experience rooted in product knowledge and athlete connection. Responsible for merchandising and presentation standards, floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment, promoting company programs, developing 30-60-90 day plans with leadership, staffing and scheduling duties, training and coaching teammates, performance management, and ensuring policy compliance and safety. The role includes building and leading a strong team, sourcing and onboarding direct reports, conducting annual reviews and promotions, and ensuring a welcoming, respectful store environment for teammates and athletes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience
- Previous retail/customer-facing experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous people leadership experience preferred
