Job Summary
Team Assistant SS&P supports scheduling coordination for the Health Services Scheduling Coordination Team, handling phone calls and emails, providing scheduling support for day-only changes, updating patient records, and assisting with call escalations and triage. The role requires strong communication and de-escalation skills, proficiency with basic computer software, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays. This position emphasizes administrative support, client and stakeholder communication, and maintaining accurate patient databases to ensure smooth service delivery and coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Minimum of two years related work experience or equivalent (preferably within a Call Centre setting)
- Computer skills and knowledge of basic computer software systems
- Communication skills, with a focus on phone etiquette and call management
- Ability to quickly identify caller frustrations and de-escalate
- Ability to effectively diffuse caller conflicts and complaints
- Active listening skills and patience
- Previous experience handling a high volume of telephone calls and inquiries
- Fluency in additional languages is an asset
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
