Job Summary
Manage and maintain teaching laboratory facilities and equipment while supporting BME undergraduate labs and courses. Train and oversee teaching assistants, instruct students in laboratory procedures, and provide technical assistance for experiments and projects. Order supplies, maintain chemical inventory, and ensure safe lab operations by setting up Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and put away lab experiments for classes, working with student groups to support their projects and train stakeholders on necessary equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 to 4 years experience in a STEM field
- experience in laboratory procedures
- experience in safety protocols
- equivalent combination to the above
- Ability to be proactive and independent while working closely in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- ability to be clear and concise
- Ability to advocate for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds
