Job Summary
Teaching Fellow role at BASIS Peoria for the 2026/2027 school year. The Assistant Teacher may teach a select number of courses or sub for an existing teacher, learn BASIS Charter School model and program, and prepare for full-time classroom teaching or other roles. Responsibilities include classroom teaching (part-time and substitute), assisting with classroom management and student support, tutoring, assisting with events, labs, testing, evaluating student progress, proctoring assessments, supervising Early Bird/Lunch Monitor, and supporting Deans/Directors of Student Affairs with behavior management and key programs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, IVP fingerprint clearance, ability to work full time, and willingness to pursue NES Elementary Education Assessment if needed; willingness to work at other campuses and to adopt BASIS teaching methodologies. - Willingness to acquire and maintain current practices in BASIS Charter School teaching methodologies
