Job Summary
Support student academic and social emotional growth by working with individuals, small groups, and leading whole-class instruction. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice while supervising and ensuring student safety at all times. Collaborate with teachers to create a vibrant learning environment for Pre-K through sixth grade, proctor recess and lunch duties on a rotational schedule, and actively participate in weekly workshops to deepen professional impact. Maintain a growth mindset by exploring new pedagogical practices and technologies. GSFS offers opportunities for student teaching experiences through potential partnerships with graduate programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Past work in some capacity with children
- A love of working with students
- Ambition to pursue a lead role in teaching or education
- Willingness to collaborate and follow through to support classroom learning
- Demonstrated willingness to explore and embrace new pedagogical practices, technologies and developing trends
- Exhibit a passion for teaching and working with children
- Demonstrated willingness to explore and embrace new pedagogical practices, technologies and developing trends
