Job Summary
Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator for SOCI 3P45 - Sociology of African Canadians at Brock University. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking/grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required. Requires a Masters-level degree in Sociology or equivalent, demonstrated teaching competence, and the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree or Honours Degree in Sociology or equivalent
- Completion of the course for which the applicant wishes to be a teaching assistant with a final grade of 75% or higher in that course (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated teaching competence (e.g., summary of previous course evaluations, faculty evaluations)
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines with periods of intensive workload
