Job Summary
Teaching Professor (Assistant or Associate) in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks candidates with a strong commitment to student success and high-quality instruction across fundamental ISyE courses. Responsibilities include advising students on academic and career directions, developing and delivering curriculum and instructional materials, facilitating classroom/online/laboratory instruction with assessment of student performance, contributing to teaching and learning scholarly work, and supporting department teaching mission and program development. Preference given to those who can teach in high-demand areas such as applications of artificial intelligence in industrial engineering, engineering management, supply chain and logistics, and experiential/project-based learning. Salary starting at $75,000, negotiable based on experience; comprehensive benefits are offered. The position may be filled at the Teaching Assistant Professor or Teaching Associate Professor level depending on qualifications, with details determined by finalist experience and credentials.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Candidates with substantial teaching, professional, and/or leadership experience may be considered for appointment at the Associate Teaching Professor level.
- Teaching candidates must possess teaching experience.
