Job Summary
Teaching Assistant at Red House in Belo Horizonte supports Head Teachers in the classroom, contributing to students’ development and maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment. Responsibilities include assisting with class materials, implementing pedagogical projects, organizing classrooms, adapting activities for students with special educational needs, supervising meals, taking the lead during Head Teacher absence, capturing classroom moments, and participating in academic meetings and school events. Required: English proficiency, Pedagogy education (or progress toward), and 2 years of classroom experience in primary years; knowledge of IB Methodology and inclusive education is desirable.

- Education: Attending or graduated in Pedagogy
- Experience: Desirable 2 years of classroom experience; Experience with primary years
- Languages: Proficiency in English
- Specific Technical Knowledge: Bilingualism
- Desirable Knowledge: IB Methodology, Child Development
Desired Qualifications
- Pedagogy degree or current study in Pedagogy
- Proficiency in English
- Experience: minimum 2 years in classroom settings
- Experience with primary years education
- IB Methodology knowledge
- Bilingualism or strong language skills in English and Portuguese
- Knowledge of child development
- Understanding of inclusive education and differentiation
- Digital thinking / educational technology familiarity
- Strong interpersonal relationships and conflict management
- Creativity and collaborative skills
- Commitment to school policies (Language Policy, Teachers’ Handbook, Assessment Policy)
- Experience supporting Head Teachers
- Ability to adapt learning activities for students with special educational needs
- Classroom management and organization
- Ability to participate in academic meetings and school events
- Safety and wellbeing supervision
