Job Summary
Conduct scheduled contact time with students, prepare seminar materials, and hold office hours for NUSC 2P19 Pharmacology in Nursing. Provide student support, mark assignments, proctor examinations, and attend lectures as required by the collective agreement. Apply strong knowledge of medication administration, dosing calculations, and IV drip rates to assist learners. Work 30 hours weekly at the graduate rate of $36.67 per hour. Requires registration as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundational/practical knowledge regarding medication administration and dosing calculations
- Proficiency with fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Setting up and solving ratios and proportions for dosing calculations
- Experience with desired dose calculations
- Expertise with weight-based calculations
- Skilled understanding of flow and IV drip rates
- Proficiency in formulas and conversions
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Ability to be punctual in attending classes
- Ability to meet appropriate deadlines
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN
