Job Summary
Teaching Assistant duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration) for the MUSI 1P50 Music in Global Cultures – Winter sections. The role encompasses course coordination and lab demonstration responsibilities as outlined by CUPE Local 4207, with compensation at the TA rates (undergraduate rate for those without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass, and graduate rate for those with such degrees). The position is part-time and based on campus in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, with flexible on-site requirements as needed.”,
Required Qualifications
- Completed Honours Bachelor’s degree in Music or other Humanities discipline
- At least 80% in a music history-type course
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
