Job Summary
Conduct scheduled contact time with students, prepare seminar materials, and hold office hours. Mark or grade assignments, proctor examinations, and attend lectures as required. Guide students on file uploads and downloads for lab practices using Sakai. Complete course administration tasks and student consultation in accordance with the Collective Agreement. Knowledge of Python, cloud computing, and distributed systems is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Completed MBAB5P11 with a minimum of 80%
- Completed MBAB5P12 with a minimum of 80%
- Completed MBAB5P13 with a minimum of 80%
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Knowledge of cloud computing and its applications such as Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of distributed computing systems such as Apache Hadoop
- Knowledge of NoSQL database management systems such as Mongo DB
- Familiarity with the basic functions of Sakai to guide students with the uploading and/or downloading of files related to lab practices, assignments and lab tests
- Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Must be able to work on campus as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of coding in Python is an asset
