Job Summary
Conduct scheduled contact time with students, prepare seminar materials, and hold office hours. Mark or grade assignments and exams, proctor examinations, and guide students on D2L file uploads for lab practices and tests. Attend lectures and perform other course administration as required. Requires knowledge of data mining software WEKA, MS-ACCESS, MS SQL SERVER, and database design concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a TA
- Knowledge of the data mining software – WEKA
- Knowledge of DB applications, particularly: MS-ACCESS & MS SQL SERVER
- Familiarity with the basic functions of D2L to guide students with the uploading and/or downloading of files with tasks related to lab practices, assignments and lab tests
- Background in Database Management and Database design
- Basic concepts of Relational Databases
- Database Normalization theories
- 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree
