Job Summary
Conduct scheduled contact time with students, prepare seminar materials, and hold office hours. Mark or grade assignments and examinations, proctor exams, and attend lectures. Guide students using Sakai for file uploads and downloads related to lab practices and tests. This role supports the Advanced Business Analytics course at Brock University, requiring knowledge of WEKA, SAS-enterprise miner, MS-Excel, MS-Access, and basic Sakai functions. Applications are subject to course enrolments and budgetary approval.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree
- Previous experience as a TA
- Knowledge of the data mining software - WEKA
- Knowledge of SAS-enterprise miner software and application
- Knowledge of MS-office applications, particularly: MS-EXCEL and MS-ACCESS
- Familiarity with the basic functions of Sakai to guide students with the uploading and/or downloading of files related to lab practices, assignments and lab tests
- Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
