Job Summary
Deliver tailored support and care programmes under the SENCo's direction to enable student access to learning. Provide targeted 1:1 or small group assistance to help students build curriculum confidence and encourage independence across all aspects of Academy life. Monitor attendance and progress for students with EHCPs while maintaining accurate records and preparing information for assessments and inspections. Start in September with a 30-hour weekly schedule, earning £8 an hour with a guaranteed pay increase after one year for those aged 19+. Complete an 18-month Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification with dedicated monthly remote tutorials.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE English (Grade 4 - 9 or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths (Grade 4 - 9 or equivalent)
- Experience working with young people between 16 and 23
- Experience working with young people with additional needs
