Teaching Assistant I

Teaching Assistant I in the Taft 7-12 program supports classroom teachers in CTE by assisting with record keeping, preparing learning materials, grading, and supervising students across multiple areas (classroom, halls, cafeterias, playgrounds, field trips). Responsibilities include conferring with staff on student progress, developing educational materials, communicating with parents, and preparing teaching aids and demonstrations. Required actions include submitting a resume, providing two letters of recommendation, and completing a background clearance including fingerprinting. Salary is $17.59-$19.42 per hour for a 6.5-hour position; benefits include medical/dental/vision and employer-paid PERS. Must meet NCLB requirements at time of hire.
