Job Summary
Teaching Assistant for GEOG 3P22 (Quantitative Research Design and Methodology) at Brock University. Responsibilities include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom duties such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree or have completed a Honours Degree in Geography or equivalent
- Completion of 4 full credits in Geography with an overall average of 75% or higher in all Geography courses completed is required (or equivalent)
- Completion of GEOG 2P12 (or equivalent) with a final grade of 75% or higher
- Demonstrated successful undergraduate teaching experience or equivalent small group leadership in an undergraduate context
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet stipulated deadlines
- Experience conducting quantitative analysis
- Understanding of how to use R software
- Equivalency will be determined by the course instructor
